CFU Youth Cup 2007
PREAMBLE:
A. The CFU Youth Cup is an official event of the Caribbean Football Union hereafter referred to as CFU).
B. It is played in a Preliminary Phase and Final Phase.
C. Any rights that these regulations do not cede to a National Association articipating in the Preliminary or Final Phases shall belong to the CFU.
I. TITLE – THE CARIBBEAN YOUTH CUP TOURNAMENT
A. The CFU Youth Cup shall take place every year for the same age group. National ssociations affiliated to the CFU are invited to participate along with other non- FU affiliated Associations as decided by the Executive Committee.
B. The CFU will present players of all participating nations with a certificate of participation.
II. ENTRIES
A. All National U-15 teams of the CFU and formally invited teams have the right to participate.
B. The competition will NOT serve as a qualifying competition for any ONCACAF or FIFA events.
III. ORGANISATION OF THE COMPETITION
A. The competition shall be played in two phases:1. The Preliminary Phase.
2. The Final Phase.
B. The Preliminary Phase
1. The Preliminary Phase of the competition shall be played among teams rom the Caribbean region in a group format. The draw will be etermined by the Executive Committee of the CFU.
2. The matches of the Preliminary Phase of the competition shall be layed in a venue or venues as determined by the Organizing Committee.
C. The Final Phase
1. The Final Phase will consist of Quarterfinals, Semifinals, Third place play-off and Final.
2. The First Place teams and best second place team from the Preliminary phase and invited Associations will contest the Quarterfinals.
